RICH DAD POOR DAD – Robert Kiyosaki

I’m always keen to read up on how I can make the most of my money and increase my knowledge about finances in general. Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki kept propping up as a recommended book by various people so I decided to give it a go. I thought that the book did a great job at explaining the traits and characteristics that we need to become a wealthy person.
I like how Robert uses anecdotes to describe why the poor and middle class are locked in their class while the rich stay rich and just keep getting richer. He really focuses on the mindset of these different class and goes on to explain how the rich think about money, which makes them more money. The only downfall would be that he gives examples that’s relevant to America because he is obviously from there but to be fair most of his points are pretty universal and can be applied globally. What I like about this book is that it is very easy to understand and easy to read despite being quite profound. All in all, maybe not the most practical but more about the state of mind. There’s some really valuable teachings and I think it’s worth a read because it does make you think outside the box about how to approach your personal finance and I also found it motivating. It’s a great book for beginners wanting to educate themselves about personal finance to make better informed decisions but note this book does not go into depth about investing in stock market or specific details into property market etc.
